Abstract
In the Uniform Commercial Code annual survey for 1988, the then ad hoc subcommittee on the Scope of the Uniform Commercial Code of the American Bar Association Business Law Section Uniform Commercial Code Committee made two important observations:
- The burgeoning case law dealing with computer contracting situations seemed to demonstrate the need for a clear body of law to apply to those situations.
- Legislation affecting computer contracting seemed to be hasty responses to pressure from certain interest groups, and development of the law relating to computer contracts could be significantly advanced through uniform legislation
